Platform Design Engineer

Position
Summary:
Responsible for assisting Project Engineers on all technical activities for assigned projects.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable FAA/EASA regulations, customer requirements, accepted engineering practices, as well as RECARO standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.
Completes basic activities of design engineering, including investigation of aircraft layouts, designing aircraft seats and components in compliance with FAA/EASA regulations, and customer and OEM requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
In collaboration with the Project Engineers, summarizes technical customer requirements, communicates this to the team and ensures customer expectations are being met.
Assists in coordinating all aspects of the design and certification of aircraft seats.
This includes the coordination of designers, design engineers, electrical engineers, certification engineers and product support personnel as needed.
Plans, schedules and tracks assigned engineering tasks; provides detailed report to Program and Engineering Management.
Investigates aircraft layouts for passenger seating systems and creates necessary drawings to ensure customer, OEM and regulatory requirements are met.
Utilizing knowledge of CAD 2D/3D systems , designs aircraft seats and components that meet customer expectations and are in conformance to applicable regulations.
Generates 2D drawings based on created 3D models, using standard aerospace drafting practices, as well as in house drafting standards.
Creates passenger seat bill of materials (BoM) to meet project specific requirements.
Responds to concerns of customers by making design changes in seat design and components in a manner that meets customer expectations and are in conformance with applicable regulations under the supervision of the Project Engineer.
Participates in design meetings with project engineers to discuss engineering issues, including design changes and requests from customers.
Familiar in the use of CFR, EASA CS, (E)TSO regulations, as well as the use of parts lists with high variant diversity is a plus.
Supports Purchasing and Production by providing the necessary documentation to support sourcing of parts.
Occasionally independently lead programs as Project Engineer as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering field with 0-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the design of Aircraft interiors is a plus.
Knowledge about aircraft documentation systems for after sales (CMM, SB) and aircraft configuration control systems is a plus.
Experience in CATIA V5 or similar program is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
