Summary:
The Customer Account Representative handles collections and account reconciliation of company customer accounts in their assigned portfolio while providing external customers and internal business partners with any information needed to process payment for invoices in a customer service-oriented manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:
A high school diploma and/or GED is required; a College degree related to business or accounting is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Consumer or Commercial collections required three or more years preferred.
Knowledge of accounting procedures, with an understanding of invoices, statements, account receivables, payables, and various forms of payment remittances.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have good judgment and decision-making skills.
Must have excellent attendance and work performance.
Must be accountable and follow through on commitments and act with a clear sense of ownership.
Must be able to build and strengthen relationships through positive interactions within the team, our customers, and our vendors.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to stay focused on achieving targets, whether working independently or partnering with colleagues.
Must possess the ability to work well in teams and with colleagues at all levels throughout the organization.
Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.
Essential Functions:
Monitors assigned account portfolios, contacts customers for payment information on past-due invoices, and documents all collection efforts.
Partners with sales and management regarding dispute and billing resolution.
Identifies high-risk accounts and communicates information to management for review and collaborates throughout the collection process.
Consistently communicates customer service and collection issues to internal business partners promptly.
Verifies customer account information is correct and updates as needed.
Processes payments and requests refunds.
Verify monthly lien notices and address all concerns regarding those notices.
Always works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
Performs other duties as assigned related to business department functions.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional standing, walking, and stooping.
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.
This role frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Travel:
Travel up to 10%.
