Our company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks.
This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records and transactions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our company's financial operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the following:
1.
Maintaining and updating financial records, including sales, receipts, payments, and purchases.
2.
Regularly reviewing and verifying financial data for accuracy, correcting any discrepancies, and ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
3.
Utilizing Desktop QuickBooks for managing and analyzing all financial data.
4.
Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and expense reports.
5.
Reconciling bank statements and conducting monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
6.
Collaborating with the accounting team to prepare for audits and resolve any discrepancies.
7.
Complying with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
8.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
9.
Processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and managing end-of-year tasks.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you should possess the following:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role in the Mortgage industry.
2.
Proficiency in Desktop QuickBooks and other accounting software.
3.
Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
4.
Exceptional numerical skills with an attention to detail.
5.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
6.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7.
The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
8.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
9.
Experience with payroll processing is a plus.
10.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
