Advisor Services Alternative Investment Services is an escalation team that promotes client loyalty by providing high quality subject matter expertise to our clients and internal business partners.
This Manager will fulfill a leadership role in educating and partnering with clients, prospects, and internal business partners on matters relating to regulation, legislation, exemptions, filings and Schwab's Alternative Investment process, service, and policy.
The Manager will have responsibility for:
Assisting the Sr.
Team Manager in leading a team of 12-15 client-facing representatives who serve as the central point of contact for alternative investments, supporting complex, high net worth client/advisor relationships by researching, understanding and responding to issues relating to Alternative Investments:
finding flexible solutions, managing and resolving problems and high-risk issues in a timely and effective manner while providing exceptional client serviceAssisting with day-to-day team management responsibilities including coaching, development, risk supervision, metrics and reporting, managing workflows, resolving issues.
and delivering business resultsSetting clear expectations and consistently providing information, resources, feedback, coaching and recognition that helps employees improve their performance and their engagementAssessing and resolving escalated client issues, helping both IAs and internal partners navigate Schwab Alternative InvestmentsWhat you have Required:
Series 7, 63 or 66, 9 & 10 or 24 licensesMinimum 5 years' experience in operations or client service roleMinimum of 1 year experience in Alternative Investments (types, structures, and associated documentation)Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceCurrent or previous Advisor Services experience as a Schwab employee or contractor is required Preferred:
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to condense policies and concepts into clear, concise languageProblem resolution skills as well as effective collaboration across departments to resolve issues, and the ability to build a consensus and persuade others in a matrixed organizationExercise business judgment including the ability to identify business risks and articulate those risks to business partners and all levels of managementThe ability to embrace change and innovationExceptional attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent time and resource management skills Ability to lead and influence othersWhat's in it for youAt Schwab, we're committed to empowering our employees' personal and professional success.
